Lakeview Information & Highlights

Lakeview is the county seat for Lake County. The government refers to the town as the "The Town Of Lakeview" and brands itself as the tallest town in Oregon because of its abnormally high elevation. 

This little town is most well known for the artifacts found in the last 100yrs. Many Native American artifacts, sandals and historic items have been found, that date as far back as 9,000 years ago. 

As of the last census, there were 2,267 people, 1,044 households and 633 total families. 

The whole economy revolves around the schools, hospitals, a sawmill, uranium mining and tons of agriculture. As well as the Warner Creek Correctional Facility, which opened back in 2005.
