Property Description

Life on the mountain feels a little easier at this cozy one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin, where .37 acres of surrounding trees and mountain ranges leave room to hike, ski, snowboard, and simply unwind. The cabin has received several practical updates, including newly replaced and stained shingle siding, a newer metal roof, and new soffits. Crawlspace cleanup and new foundation posts take care of some less-glamorous but very worthwhile work, while the septic system installed approximately six years ago adds another useful improvement. Indoors, hardwood and engineered hardwood floors add warmth and character. A wood-burning fireplace insert with a rock-wall hearth keeps the living room inviting through chilly mountain weather, and a freestanding propane stove brings extra comfort to the oversized kitchen and eating area. The bedroom opens to a generously sized flex space that could serve as an office, dressing area, and/or roomy closet. The cedar-enclosed porch offers a laid-back place to enjoy the setting; There is even a dedicated laundry room off the kitchen which can double as a pantry. Outside, the sunny lot has appealing garden potential, and a tool shed keeps supplies and adventure equipment organized. A community trail leading to Clear Creek makes it easy to slip into nature without planning a full expedition. Zigzag Mountain Cafe, Skyway Bar and Grill, and Hoodland Thriftway are close by for coffee, dinner, and groceries. 13 miles to Government Camp, 19 miles Timberline Lodge, and just an hour from PDX! Perfect home base for all your your outdoor adventures.
